Is there a conference fee for the 2024 Summer Symposium?
No, there is no conference fee for Symposium participants.
Will there be a virtual (hybrid) component if I am unable to attend in person?
No, this year's Summer Symposium will not have a hybrid component. The plenary sessions will be recorded and posted to the meeting archives after the symposium.
What is the dress code for the 2024 Summer Symposium?
Most attendees wear business-casual attire.
Are there any special lodging rates for 2024 Summer Symposium participants?

What kind of weather can I expect in the San Francisco Bay area in July?
The average high is 66o F and the low is 55o F in the SF Bay area with differences within the city itself while average precipitation is about 1 inch. for this time of the year. The Bay Area can experience drastic and sudden changes in conditions at any time of day. For current weather conditions, please visit the National Weather Service or the Weather Channel.
How many days or sessions may I attend?
The Symposium is two full days (July 31 and August 1, 2024); however, you may attend as many days or sessions of the conference as you wish.
How can I get copies of presentations and speeches from the 2024 Summer Symposium?
Presentations from the conference will be posted after the close of the 2024 symposium. Information on accessing these presentations will be made available at a later date.
Will there be vendor exhibits this year?
Yes, the conference will have exhibitors this year.
Can vendors sell any materials or products at the 2024 Summer Symposium?
No. Sales of any products or materials are not permitted within the confines of the Symposium by vendor exhibitors to ensure that there is no implied or actual endorsement by the U.S. Department of Education.
How can I present or exhibit at the conference?
The Call for Presentations submission page is available until March 15, 2024. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept submissions sent after the closing date.

Can I get Continuing Education Professional Credit for attending the Symposium?
No, CEUs are not available for participating at the symposium. Attendees will have the option to request and download a certificate of attendance online after the meeting ends. Only those who checked into the meeting in person will be eligible to receive the certificate.
